GUITAR SUMMER SCHOOL REGULATIONS:
1. Guitar Summer School in the organization of "Spasić-Mašera" Student Dormitory, NGO "Anagastum Guitar Society" and Nikšić Guitar Festival:
01 July 2011 – 10 July 2011
2. Lectures and classes shall be given by renowned Montenegrin performers and pedagogues:
prof. Danijel Cerović (lecturer at the Montenegrin Academy of Music in Cetinje and Artistic Director of Nikšić Guitar Festival)
prof. Goran Perišić (guitar lecturer at Music Schools in Nikšić and Bar, Organizational Director of Nikšić Guitar Festival, Event Manager at Music Center of Montenegro)
3. Activity Plan:
Daily intensive individual classes
Lecture recitals
Student recitals
4. Target group:
Beginners, students of Elementary and High Schools of Music, Academy students etc.
5. Board and Lodging:
Summer School students not coming from Kotor have been provided with full board and lodging in Youth Hostel "Spasić Mašera" at unbelievable price of 10 EUR per day.
6. Course Admission Fee
130 EUR
(all students can participate in the VI International Nikšić Guitar Festival free of charge, which includes free admission fee for the competition, free tickets for the recitals etc)

Competition Regulations
1. All active participants of “Nikšić Guitar Festival 2011” can enter the competition.
2. Candidates have an opportunity to compete in five age categories.
I category - candidates born after 1 January 1999
II category - candidates born after 1 January 1997
III category - candidates born after 1 January 1995
IV category - candidates born after 1 January 1993
V category – no age limit
3. Competition for the I, II, III and IV category shall be held on 17 July at 16:00h in the premises of “Onogošt” Hotel.
First stage for V category shall be held on 17 July at 10:00h in the premises of “Onogošt” Hotel.
Finals for V category shall be held on 18 July in the studio of RTV Atlas live at 21:00h
4. The candidates shall perform in the competition in alphabetical order.
5. Program:
I category:
Free program in duration of up to 7 minutes
II category:
Free program in duration of up to 10 minutes
III category:
Free program in duration of up to 15 minutes
IV category:
Free program in duration of up to 20 minutes
V category:
I stage - Free program in duration of up to 15 minutes
Finals - Free program in duration of up to 25 minutes comprising of minimum 2 compositions, different in style and character.
6. Program performed during I stage cannot be repeated in the Finals.
7. Candidates must perform their program by heart.
8. The competition is open to the public; the organizer of the festival reserves all rights to record and transmit the competitive part of the festival.
9. The Jury will consist of prominent national and international guitar players and pedagogues.
10. The decisions of the Jury are irrevocable.
11. Awards:
I, II, III, IV and V category: diploma, set of strings, notes, free admission at VII International Nikšić Guitar Festival 2012
V category:
I award – Hand made guitar by Andreas Marvi (valued at: 7 000 EUR);
Concerts with Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra during the 2011/2012 season organized by the Music Center of Montenegro;
Recital at Forum Guitarre Vienna 2012 (Austria)
II award – 300 EUR
Free admission at VII International Nikšić Guitar Festival 2012
III award – 150 EUR
12. Participation fee for I, II, III and IV category is 40 EUR, and for V category is 100 EUR. The participation fee is to be paid following the arrival in Nikšić.
13. The Jury reserves the right not to give the first award if it considers that none of the candidates satisfied all given conditions.
All participants of the festival can stay in one of the hotels in Nikšić. Available are “Maršal” Hotel, “Vukov most” Hotel and “Onogošt” Hotel.
